This stunning motion picture began as a macro photo of my eye shot & conceptually developed by Latvian visual artist Mārtiņš Dāboliņš in Riga, Latvia.

"I Was A Rockstar" is the recorded version of the song I performed live for TEDxPerth 2017. I first wrote the song over an instrumental composed by Nathaniel Méchaly for the acclaimed French/Swedish TV series "Midnight Sun". I was fortunate enough to be in Paris just after the conception of that beautiful piece (which can be heard in the first episode of the series) I begged Nathaniel to let me build my own version around it! I took it far from it's origins and into a darker, more electronic realm, using just the piano chords and a hint of flute & mandolin in the textures. But it's emotive quality remains forever tied to that original chord progression and the heart-wrenching images of French actress Leila Bekhti that it was inspired by.

Engineered in Paris at Stupid o'Clock in a shockingly small amount of time between Antonio Gambale & myself.

I hear all of the above in this song.
